Purpose:
The Maria L. Tejada Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to students who are granted a non-paid internship with the Cook County Juvenile Probation Department based on demonstrated academic achievement and financial need.
Criteria:
The student eligible for assistance must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and reside in City of Chicago. Consideration will be given to academic achievement, financial need and the student community service record. Students should submit a scholarship application provided by the Loving Lily Forever website.
Guidelines:
Scholarships will be awarded on a semi-annual basis and disbursed in equal payments.. Students must continue to attend classes and maintain no lower than a 3.0 grade-point average (or equivalent).
Amount:
Each scholarship awarded will be a one-time $1,000 installment.
Deadline:
The application deadline is [TBD]. The deadline is the date after which applications will no longer be accepted. The Maria L. Tejada Scholarship Fund uses the postmarked date to determine mailed entries.
Renewal Policy:
The scholarship is not renewable. Previous scholarship recipients cannot re-apply.
