To The Loving Lily Forever Family,
I would like to first thank Melvin Tejada and every friend and family member who works diligently to keep Maria’s legacy alive and serve in her function in helping students follow their dreams to serve Chicago’s youth! I am honored and humbled to be chosen as the recipient of this scholarship. My experience as an intern at Cook County Juvenile Probation has been eye opening and life changing. I truly understand why Ms. Tejada was devoted to her career and the youth in Chicago. I will remain passionate and attempt to serve, like Maria has served, my community throughout my career. This scholarship couldn’t have come at a better time and is a blessing to myself and my family. I am so proud that in honoring your awesome loved one Ms. Tejada , you all chose to honor me.
With Love,
Jeremy
